Music record layout
Music records are 8192 bytes. Offset 0x100 is the swing flag, 0x101 the tempo as (BPM − 60) / 10 and 0x102 the number of blocks played. Blocks start at 0x107 and are 0x114 bytes long: four 32-step voices, four 32-step drum slots, then volume, pan and instrument bytes. A note byte is 0–24, or 0xFF for a rest.
The header carries two checksums (bytes 16–23): the sums of bytes 0–255 and 256–end with the checksum fields zeroed.
